Dip into Wellness: Two Fiber-Rich Kid-Friendly Dips

Welcome back to the just better.® Recipe of the Week, where we prioritize health, taste, and simplicity. This week, we're taking a leap off our recent blog, Superfood Superheroes: An Action Plan for Raising Healthy Eaters, and focusing on delectable recipes that encourage children to relish their fruits and veggies. After all, it's not just about eating right but making mealtime a fun, enjoyable, and educational experience for our young ones.

In their sweet or savory variations, dips hold an undeniable charm that can help children develop a newfound fondness for fruits and vegetables.

Kids are naturally curious and interactive eaters. Providing them with a fun, immersive way to enjoy their snacks can significantly enhance their interest and willingness to try new foods. Dips are just the right kind of engaging; they invite kids to explore their food in a manner that's both entertaining and appetizing.

Moreover, the versatility of dips makes them a brilliant tool for introducing a range of flavors and nutrients to your child's palate. The options are endless, from the creamy richness of Greek yogurt and peanut butter to the vibrant freshness of herbs and veggies.

You can customize dips according to your child's preference, gradually introducing them to more complex flavors and ingredients. It's a great way to broaden their taste profiles without intimidating their senses.

And it's not all just fun and games. Dips can serve as nutritional powerhouses when carefully crafted with the right ingredients. Incorporating key nutrients like protein, healthy fats, and vitamins is easy with dips. But what truly sets our recipes apart is the inclusion of just better.® prebiotic fiber. This 100% dissolvable, flavorless addition seamlessly blends into any recipe, enriching it with beneficial fiber that supports digestive health.

By integrating fiber into these delightful dips, we ensure that every scoop is not just a burst of enjoyable flavors but also a step towards healthier eating habits. This makes dips more than just a meal accessory - they become a valuable, tasty ally in your mission to raise healthy eaters and close the fiber gap in your family!

This week, we've selected two kid-approved dips that come together quickly, taste delightful, and incorporate our just better.® prebiotic fiber for an added healthy and fiber-rich boost.

Peanut Butter Banana Dip

Ingredients:

2 Med ripe bananas

½ Cup peanut butter powder

1 Cup plain Greek yogurt

The peanut butter powder provides a creamy texture and delicious flavor without the added oils found in regular peanut butter. It blends perfectly with Greek yogurt and bananas, making a nutritious dip that kids will love. And it’s packed with fiber! WooHoo!
